And then once the season begins, we're adding on the Saturday night reaction shows late at night when Chip, Bud, and I have been watching football for 12, 13 hours.

And, you know, maybe we're a glass of wine or two deep, so our opinions get a little looser.

getting past houston which was the team on our side of the bracket that terrified me the most but we were able to get past that game and then honestly like no disrespect to iowa but if my choice is playing iowa in the elite eight or florida give me iowa i'll take that matchup every single time so that was fun but then unfortunately you know we get to the final four and we run into that yukon boogeyman that we just really can't get over but i will say

While it sucked losing, it was much better than what happened the last time we played UConn in the Elite Eight because it was in that game where that team was so much better than us, and they just absolutely kicked our butts for 40 minutes.

We were just as strong as that UConn team.

In fact, I still think talent-wise, we're probably a little bit better than them.

It's just the ball would not go in the damn bucket for us.

So it was painful, but it was really enjoyable.

It's been a long time since Illinois has really had these kind of runs in March.

And to have two in the last three years where they get the Elite Eight and then get to the Final Four, it's like a couple of years from now, maybe we're going to win the whole thing if you follow the trends.

I think Brad's a masochist.
