And as you mentioned, didn't quite live up to the hype last year, but now he's coming to this team where he's probably going to have what you would consider a much better cast surrounding him than the one that he had at Providence, which could allow him to become more of that player that people saw him when he first came here.

I don't think the drop-off's going to be that drastic.

I do think there are some questions, but I think between Vox, between Coleman, I think Stojakovic is probably going to take a step forward more as a secondary ball handler, not the primary guy, obviously.

And then you've got David Merkovich, who is not a point guard, but so much of the offense ran through him last year, even when Keaton was on the team.

There were plenty of times where he was the guy bringing the ball up the court.

So I don't know that this team has a true point guard, but I don't know, given that the talent that they have and the style that they play, that they truly need.

So it's a question going into the year, but it's been a question going in for the last few years.

They've been pretty okay.

I think it needs to be Markovich.

And honestly, I would have told you that last year too.

Like as good as Keaton was, Illinois was able to win games when Keaton didn't play well.

If David didn't play well, Illinois didn't win.

If you go look at his, like his game log from last season, anytime he had a poor performance, we lost.

I think that he was the most important player on the team last year.

I think he's definitely going to be the most important player again on the team this year.

He might not be the leading scorer, but he just does everything.

He's such a pivotal... I'm not making the comp, but he's got a Jokic kind of thing for what he does with this offense and that everything does kind of flow through him and what he's doing.

And I think with Stojakovic, he might lead the team in scoring, but I think if he's going to, he's going to have to develop more of an outside shot because he has not been a very good three-point shooter.
