Our nervous system can be calm enough so we can do the work that we need to do.
Then comes mindfulness practices.
So we wake up to our thought, breathe, starting with the breath.
Then we can look at the patterns in our mind and the patterns in our emotions, and we can self-soothe enough and refute the irrational messages that, like in my case, got in my way of relationships.
And then we look at the heart.
So how connected are we with ourselves?
How connected are we with other people?
How connected are we with something greater, spirituality?
How are we giving back?
How are we contributing?
How open are we?
So foundation, physical, mindfulness comes second, the heart, connecting the heart comes third.
That's the model that I love.
