Uh, and it was fine.
Uh, it, it just took a couple of minutes that when I went to Japan, I actually just used T-Mobile roaming.
Once I landed, T-Mobile connected and was like, welcome to Japan.
You have five gigabytes a day, a high speed internet.
And I was like, great, that'll get me where I'm going.
And then once I got to the hotel and was on hotel Wi-Fi, then I installed the eSIM and then it installed really fast.
Because you have to have an internet connection in order to install it.
When I did it on the plane, I was using my T-Mobile connection.
When I did it in the hotel, it was on Wi-Fi, and it just worked a lot smoother and a lot faster.
But the fact is, you install that eSIM, and then now your phone has a connection that is local.
With AeroLo, they roam.
And you need to turn on roaming in your SIM settings in AeroLo.
Merlo has a list of instructions to help you figure all of this out.
Most of the SIM providers do.
And then it'll jump around to whatever the best connection is that it has an agreement with.
And so I would notice it switching, you know, I was on NTT DoCoMo and then I was on something else.
And I told it to, and this is the key, I told it to keep my T-Mobile connection as my primary phone connection.
Oh, interesting.
So I ran into this in Korea once where I didn't do that, and it really messed up iMessage.
Because iMessage will still connect over the internet, but if it's not related to your same phone number anymore, it's like, well, this is a new person.
