I was hoping I was going to hear from Liz because she's a lawyer.
But I think this is a good example of what happens when you think that no one's going to stop you.

You know, as long as there's about that 30 percent of the GOP rank and file who are going to go to primaries and kick people out of their jobs, the only thing that's going to stop this is courage from Republicans who will say, even if it costs me my job, I'm going to stand up against this.
But they're not doing that.
So, you know, if you were Donald Trump and you got all the power of the presidency and you didn't think there was anything at all in your way, of course you'd tell your former attorney to go set up something like this.
Why wouldn't you?
Tina Peters was convicted in a state.
The idea that somehow she has some recourse to this is ridiculous.
But Vance is making this very pedantic point that, yes, if the government settles a lawsuit, the government pays it out, so therefore, by definition, it's taxpayer money.
