James Patterson, of course, recently made a speech, a headland speech that encapsulated some of his views and opinions on different on different issues.
What made Andrew Bragg's different and I'd I'd argue better was that he actually did the tough things as well.
So it's one thing
to sort of say we should spend more on this and we need to do this and we need to do that.
He also sort of put some ideas out there about where savings can be made, what needs to be done in terms of economic levers to make some of these things possible.
So
I thought it was um uh a good speech.
I didn't agree with every single thing, uh nor would you expect anyone to.
Uh but he's putting ideas out there and and the thing that uh resonated the most with me was he said we need to be bold, you know, we need to be brave.
Uh this idea that you can just do a little bit of, you know, shape shifting or we can talk about, you know, a petrol discount for twelve months, which is really just, you know.
Nor here nor there.
Um what voters want is real change.
And he's tapping into that.
Yeah, I suppose we had this conversation last week about Labour National Convention and who w how it was so stage managed and so according to script that there was only just one person and that was Ed Husick, who, by the way, got dumped from the ministry, so he's got, you know, he's got a bit of shit on the liver.
Um
Andrew Bragg, of course, you know, did what you suggested last week, which was to put some ideas out there and to be bold and be brave.
And I don't think there's any harm in that.
I think this idea that voters are following politics so closely that they need to, you know, see a coherent, unified approach from every single MP, I think is missing the mark.
I think having some debate, having a conversation, putting ideas out
out there is a really important part of any way back for the little party because
