What have these great players and great athletes done?
They've learned different techniques and ways to go get the quarterback.
It's a safer game.
The essence of how the game is played has not changed.
If you look at the cut block within the tackle box being changed,
Now, all of a sudden, you have new techniques to cut off defenders and different ways to do it in the same game as being played, but at a safer level.
Because any athlete, me, and we used to joke about it all the time, because you on the defense side, me on the off side.
But the one thing we'd agree on, no one likes anyone going at their knees.
And so there's a lot of ways that we can keep the essence of the game of football as it is, but also protect our players and be smart about it so that they can play longer and safer and enjoy the game as it's intended to be played.
