I I've I've now like most people, I think a lot of people have now got part of the copy of it, which in itself is a problem because you don't get the full story and
you you you know, you don't have um obviously all the facts that are n you know
the disposal here.
But the waiver or whatever other terminology that they want to come up with, it's hard to see in any other light other than most definitely appears to break the AFL and very specifically rules around player engagement and player agreements.
Um I well remember when I was on the board of the Gold Coast Suns way, way back, um not the chair or president or anything, I was just a just joined as a board member.
Trav Zord was our then CEO and he sat me down and took me through a number of very, very important things as far as AFL policy was concerned.

I I think mainly because he was concerned I came from a different sport and obviously our sport was very differently structured and defin it was privately owned so you know the
uh the structure was very different.
Um and I remember very clearly one of those rule rules that he sumped into me that day was as a club we cannot enter into any other agreement with a player without getting signed off of the AFL and the AFL PA.
You know, it was
Fair enough, crystal clear, no ambiguity, or no complex as the Geelong and their president at the time would have us believe now.
Interesting word complex.
I lo I'm not a lawyer.
Um but
I don't think you would need much of a a lawyer to um to say that it's anything but an alteration to the contract.
