I mean, I personally didn't think we were going to win a premiership or anything this year in my wildest dreams.

didn't need this setback because, as I alluded to before with the stupidity of how the AFL have attacked competitive balance, you know, we're already in behind the eight ball.
I want to pick up something that Tim and Gary questioned after the last time.
I know I haven't been on for a while because you've been busy, I've been busy.
God knows why I'm busy at my age, but I am.
But they questioned, you know, yes, but the funds being spent on the Gold Coast Suns Academy, surely that's AFL money anyway.
So what does it matter?
Well, yeah, in part, that's correct.
But of course, like all clubs, the rich clubs, the middle clubs, the poor clubs, the Suns are in the poor club category.
The clubs get to decide how to spend their money and invest it in the best way they can to go forward.
So now effectively for me, the Northern States academies, their academies have kind of been made ineffective.
So why keep tipping money into that?
I mean, there's plenty of other things the Suns need to tip money into.
