I can't remember.
There's a couple of them set in East Anglia in the Norfolk Broads.
The Norfolk Broads, a network of rivers and lakes in eastern England.
formed interestingly from flooded medieval peat digging.
So it was a bog that had been dug out extensively over centuries and then was flooded by the sea.
Although I think they're freshwater.
So they're flooded in any case.
So, and they brought Dutch engineers in to drain, so it's actually, some of it's below sea level, and they, somebody may correct me on that, but I've just had one of those.

But anyway, it's liable to flooding, and they brought Dutch engineers in, and they built windmills to get rid of the water.
So the area is extremely flat, it's watery, and it's remote.
So remember, M.R.
James uses also East Anglia, mainly Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, rather than Norfolk, which Norfolk, the North folk, Suffolk, the South folk.
So, you know, Norfolk is north of Suffolk.
So it's a really good desk.
I think Christmas Eve spent in the Haunted Hulk is also another story, not by him, but is also set in Norfolk in this landscape.
And of course, further down in the Thames estuary, Essex and the Kent part, then Dickens uses that marshy flat area.
But Norfolk is really flat.
And it's also a popular summer holiday area for boating, which is why the bungalow has a boathouse and why the contrast with the February snowstorm is so effective.
