And everybody comes crazed with um Egyptians and mummies of course are a great product of this.

Also the the pyramids, the statues, and they have mummy later as the century goes on, mummy unwrapping parties to see what goodies you're gonna find in the wrappings.

Um even burning them as fuel on ships because there were so many mummies.

On the back of that, the mummy story where it starts, it it gets in the 1930s and such.

It uh it but I think we did Lot 249, where it's one of the early curse stories.

So the mummy's curse comes in before the actual 1922 uh opening of Tutankhamun's tomb and the the curse of Lord Carnarvon, etc.

So um, and we talked about how there is a reality in that in that day.

On the on the hieroglyphs once we learned to read them in the eighteen fifties, I think, Rosetta Stone.

uh we we saw they said, you know, if you break into my tomb and nick my stuff, I will curse you.

So it's it's not a complete invention, this curse idea, but but I think uh Western literature and later cinema took and ran with it.

Um so but in the early stories we don't have this curse as such a strong thing.
