Yeah, so regardless of what you want to say about fans and their opinions, the Celtic fans massively push Celtic over the line.
The last six, seven games, I can't remember how many it was after they got allowed back into Parkhead.
But the home games were electric.
The players definitely felt a backing for the fans, there's no doubt about it.
And I think the fact that they came out in numbers against Robbie Keane,
showed the board that they had to not employ him look I don't get into it whether it's the right or the wrong thing Robbie Keane's an Irish legend he's he played well at Celtic when he was here for six months but I think last season showed this the Celtic fans and the players need to be aligned they need to be together whether that's with the board or without the board but
the fans need to cheer the players on and the players need to feel that and I think they did the last couple of months or weeks whatever it was so appointing Robbie Keane whether you like him or not would have been the wrong thing because you cannot cause a division with the Celtic fans at this moment after what they've done Chris that unity was quite evident Martin O'Neill talked about it towards the end of the season is that something you hope can continue going into the new season with Martin O'Neill being appointed you know supporters will be hoping that the backing will be there in the transfer window too
Yeah, I think if it's me, I think Masminisi's a great player.
I'd be going to Hearts and I'd be putting a bid on the table for Braga because he showed after his first season what he can do in this country.
The only thing is Hearts are now in a position where they don't need the money so Celtic can't go and overpower them.
Celtic and Rangers can't do it.
Obviously Rangers got lucky with a clause in Shanklin's deal which again is a fantastic sign and I think he'll be Scotland's number nine at the World Cup.
but I think Celtic should be going and buying the best players in the league yet, whether that's Mazwanisi or Braga or Elliot Waugh or Elijah, just they need to be going for these guys over in Vuka, Adamu, Balaquisha, these players, because experience in Scotland, knowing the tempo of the game, how physical it can be, how much quality there is, even though it gets kind of spoke down on, is key, and Celtic cannot afford
But they also lost six of their eight games, didn't they?
because you don't know what Celtic team's going to come up and then but then I suppose ultimately at the end of the season Martin O'Neill was the manager that was standing with the Premiership trophy in the Scottish Cup above his head and he won games and what you need to remember regardless of anything is and I'm going to probably go out now with him here and say it
there was a few players in that team that weren't good enough, you've seen the problem he had in the left wing, with Taneke, with Adamu, Mvuka, Balakwisha, these players like, he couldn't play Maida on the left wing, because the striker position wasn't, Iheanacho wasn't fit enough,
Fanchara got injured probably wasn't up to standard I know he scored a penalty against Rangers or whatever but eh the problem for me is he never had at his disposal players that when he was first time around he had good players that he could put in the team motivate get them going you don't need to be playing a thousand passes to play good football see good attacking wing play with good strikers he had that in his first spell with Alan Thompson's even like his fullbacks were good
The thing for me is
he's been he's been trying to play with the hand he's been dealt and the hand he got dealt wasn't good enough that's not seven or eight players were but the rest of them he had to make do with it and when he got Johnson back they got a wee bit better by the end of the season they did not win seven out of seven including the cup against St Mirren now Wilfred Nancy regardless of what he's attacking playing whatever it was didn't win games of football would never ever last at Celtic because of that
Now, okay, they played good attacking football.
