They're like, oh, yeah, we do this all the time.
Babies are on the road.
I'm like, no.
I didn't realize this was a common thing.
Makes sense.
But I'm doing this thing where I put him down and then maybe an hour or two goes by and I'm just like, you know, have having my night, whatever I'm doing.
And then I just get this weird like flood of sadness.
And I'm just like, what's happening?
Like, oh, it's because I miss him.
Like he's just asleep.
He's right there.
And I'm like, I want to hang out.
I want to see him.
That's so weird.
But then at the same time, I'm like, it's kind of nice to have like a second, you know.
So it's this constant push and pull of, yeah, it's like hard, but also I feel like the good just completely outweighs any ounce of joy.
At least for me, I can, again, yeah, can only speak from experience and I'm just, I'm absolutely loving it.
I love stepping into motherhood and this new chapter just is really, really fun.
I feel really blessed.
