I mean, it's something that I talk about and I've spoken about a lot publicly and I had to think about why I speak about it publicly.
But this idea of being the chooser and I, as opposed to waiting to be chosen.
And the reason I think I started talking about it so much publicly is that I spent eight years on the show of girlfriends, 173 episodes, 22 to 24 a year for eight years, speaking the language and the voice of somebody who was waiting to be chosen.
Over and over and over and over again.
Weeping about it, having this huge life and not feeling worthy because she hadn't been chosen.
Oh my God, I didn't think about the psychic imprint of doing that.
Neither did I. And I really had to untangle myself out of that belief system.
And it didn't come from nowhere.
I was playing a role that mirrors what society tells women.
And what an awful thing to have to reconcile if you are a person who has not yet been chosen.
