Jenny Hicks, her husband Trevor and their daughters Sarah, aged 19, and Vicky, 15, are on their way from their home in London to Sheffield, in the north of England.
They're all excited to watch their team Liverpool play Nottingham Forest in the semi-final of the FA Cup at Hillsborough Football Stadium.
They set off with the girls' red Liverpool scarves flying in the breeze from the back windows.
After arriving and eating their picnic lunch, the four of them walked towards the ground.
We'd been allocated four tickets.
Three were on the Leppings Lane standing area and one was in the seated area of the ground in the north stand.
Trevor said that he'd stand with the girls.
So I gave Sarah and Vicky a hug, told them I loved them and off I went and took my seat.
When I looked across at the Leppings Lane end of the ground, it seemed to me that there was people in the middle and not very many people on the side.
As time went on, we were getting nearer and nearer to kick-off.
It was becoming really, really compacted in those middle two pens.
As thousands of supporters packed into the central terrace area, the mood changed dramatically.
The fans here sensed the danger looming.
I could see supporters climbing over the top of the fencing.
There were police officers along the side and actually they were pushing these fans back in.
I think they thought that the fans were misbehaving in some way.
Police gave orders for a gate to be opened to relieve pressure on some outside turnstiles.
I could see people coming over now and sort of collapsing on the track at the side of the pitch.
If I'm totally honest, nothing seemed to be being done about it.
There were gates on the front of these fencings, but these weren't being opened to let anybody out.
