I got to the edge of the Turkish trench and flung myself down just to crawl in, and a bomb came and fortunately for me blew my leg off.
I lay there for a bit and then I crawled back to our own trenches.
I heard a voice say, where's Westy?
Where's Westy?
And this fella came back.
He said, Westy, you've got my watch.
Let me have it back, will you?
