So in gym class, I'd never participated.
I would just sit in the bleachers and draw.
And Matt was kind of a loner too.
And then I noticed he was getting bullied a lot.
the more him and I became, the more him and I got closer, I felt like big bro, you know?
And there was one day in particular when we were doing a weightlifting unit
in gym class and this kid, Dave, just kept messing with Matt and he like yoked him up and I said, I can't sit by and watch this anymore.
And I took Dave by the throat and I said, you will not touch my mans no more or we will have issues.
And needless to say, Matt didn't get fucked with anymore after that.
And then the ping pong,
The ping pong unit came in gym class and that's when Matt, so Matt was a tennis player.
Him and his brother were like all state tennis players.
Yeah, so Matt, he showed me how to play ping pong and I got real nice at it.
So him and I would just wreck shop.
Whenever the ping pong came around,
we'd have people lined up and we'd take their lunch money all day smash all day and uh but the thing is like like so i as i started a punk band with a friend of mine tyler in 10th grade early early on in 10th grade and we were just you know just in the garage just i borrowed a drum kit from my homeboy cody and i didn't i knew nothing about you know taking care of drums so when the heads got all beat up i just literally flipped the toms over and used the bottom
I was just making noise.
Hey, you got to do what you got to do.
So we would play, oh, Death.
So I didn't find out about Death until later.
