It was like the one thing I was really confident in because I practiced so much. And my dad and my mom had such a strict regimen for me. Like you have to practice two to three hours. You can't go out. You can't go play with your friends. So I would just go in there and play something, you know. But I think, and I loved skateboarding when I was a kid.
Luckily, I had good friends around me that were like, you're way better at drumming than skateboarding. just keep playing drums you know and i did but yeah figuring out that thing that you love or that you're passionate about that doesn't feel like It doesn't suck. Like it, it really builds confidence.

Yeah, that was a weird, that was a cool time. It was also all the money I had to buy that Escalade at the time in whatever house I was living in. I remember my friend came to me one time and he's like, Trav, you're like hood rich. You just buy cars. And I'm like, I know, huh? He's like, sell some of them and buy a house. And I finally did. Sell some of them and buy a house?
Because I'd see like hot boys, like Lil Wayne and Juvenile. I'd just see them always buy cars. And I was like... that's what I'm gonna do, you know? I was like, I just wanna buy cool old Cadillacs and whatever, you know? The Hot Boys were so fucking- So good.

Prince. Yeah, I love. That's probably my favorite artist of all time. Love Prince.
Yeah. Lemmy from Motorhead, too. Had like a really cool, like, just like hang with him before one of his shows. And like Mickey D, his drummer at the time, was in King Diamond. I loved both of them. But yeah, I don't know. I think probably Prince and Lemmy are the big ones.
I know. I drove the Escalade V. Have you seen that?
Is this the electric one? No, it's the V. It's a hog. It has crazy exhaust. It has more horsepower. It has sport features. It's nasty. Is that the one that's out there right now? It's kind of like a Ninja. It just looks like an Escalade. But this motherfucker is mean. So yeah, that's like my daily driver if I'm not driving to old school.
I only drive old schools pretty much if I'm going on a date with my wife or bringing one of the kids out somewhere or just to the studio and back.
I mean, they're different. Like, Transplants, like my other band, Transplants, Distillers, and Rancid. That was a really cool tour. Cypress, Blink, and No Doubt was a really good tour.
I was. Yeah, I was definitely smoking weed at that time. I remember our last show, us and Cypress and Gwen, we all smoked. And then I usually don't smoke before shows because I'm out there like... going buck wild. You know, I need to have a lot of energy. And I remember we did it. It was like the last show and be real came in. He's like, come on, let's just smoke last show before.
