Probably not.
The thought of something of that equivalent happening nowadays just seems so impossible.
Yeah.
Because there's no private group of people that can take on a nation's most powerful device or ship.
It's not possible.
You take someone's ship and it could take weeks for whoever owns the ship to find out about it.
Do they have weapons, like a bunch of weapons or?
Yeah.
So a lot of pirate warfare is basically you have like, you know, your broadside cannons.
And when ships would fight, usually they would come up alongside each other and fire the broadsides.
And then the whole point is like you kind of wanted to make the ship weak enough to then get on and board it.
So once you were close enough, you would throw out the hooks, pull the ship in and then, you know, throw across the gangplanks.
Well, you would fight, you know, guns and swords, take over the ship, and sometimes you would, sometimes pirates would just take what they could carry.
Sometimes they would take the ship with them if they could tow the ship.
I was going to say, because a certain amount of weight at a certain point.
Because gold is heavy.
It's really heavy.
