that what was able to last on these ships for a really long time yeah I'm pretty sure rum just generally was it's what they were brewing like with the sugar yeah sugar cane I like don't know too much about like the way I know like tequila is obviously like agave I don't actually know the distilling process for rum rum is tea so rum is essentially a bunch of spices and a bunch of tea that you mix together and then you can ferment in a barrel that's all rum is interesting yeah um

I love that probably, especially in that era, like 1700s into the 1800s, that might be one of the drunkest periods of human history ever.
