I mean, how good was the second shot out of the bunker with the way the stance was, how awkward it was, how much he had to bend down?

He's got a little bit of lip in front of him.

You know, you think back to the shot that Cam Young hit on the 18th out of the pot bunker.

Ryan could have fatted that and not got far enough down there or stayed in the rough.

He could have scalded into the lip.

You know, when the ball's that far below your feet and you're getting into such an awkward setup position, I mean, you could catch the hosel on that shot.

You know, really, there's a whole host of things that could happen, but his hand-eye coordination is so sharp that

that he advanced it quite far down there and eventually had a pretty good look at birdie.

So to me, that was just as impressive as 15, kind of getting out of jail a little bit

And then that 18th hole, I mean that 18th hole at Royal Birkdale to me is, is one of the better finishing holes in, in tournament golf.

I mean, nevermind just majors.

I mean, it's, it just asks great questions of you.

Um, you know, with the technology these days, and as far as what these guys hit it, they're not always forced to, to go ahead and pull the driver.

Now you can lay back on 18 and take.

at least a couple bunkers out of it, but then you're going to be hitting such a long club in for your second.

And so if you do go ahead and decide to pull that driver, man, you do not have much space there, particularly with how firm the fairways were.

And he decided that he was going to take the opportunity to try and win the tournament.

And, wow, how good are those three shots that he's hit on the 18th hole?

I mean, that is what you dream of when you're a little kid, is finishing off any tournament, the club championship, a game against your mate.

Never mind a major and the Open.
