And it is impressive.
As someone who also believes that they have that ability and myself, he is just a level that is unfathomable.
If we told him just to walk in a straight line and don't stop until he can't go anymore, I don't know if he would ever stop.
yeah it is interesting there's been uh uh one big indicator is like you look at how those teams are handling uh the trade deadline and it shows kind of where their heads at going into next year what they're planning for um what again that's going to look like after these negotiations happen and i think there's a little bit of wait and see going on and so
Maybe the urgency just isn't, it doesn't feel like the urgency is quite there.
You know, the players always feel it, but I just think that the way the front office and then even the fans start to feel that as well, where, you know, I've heard this anecdotally from several people that are fans of several of those teams in that group, and they're just like, it's almost like,
he would rather not make it the the year you go 500 because it just has felt so kind of lackadaisical up to that point that the the hope's not really there and that's kind of the fun of the postseason you want to feel like you get hot you can get going and uh and there's a little it feels like that malaise is just around a little bit more than it has been in the past um and it i don't know it there's a little bit of like content just to kind of get in uh maybe some from from
some of these front offices and I mean to be honest this is predictable when you add keep adding playoff teams every single year you have to win less and less games to make it and that that
very clearly will cause some of this.
But I think that is a combination, just a perfect storm of the uncertainty over next year, and like who's going to sign what, and the trade deadline kind of went crazy, but just a bunch of teams swapping teams that were kind of the same record and in division, and it was confusing.
It didn't seem to be a pattern or a rhyme or reason for a lot of it.
And, you know, I'm up here in Seattle where this team is, everyone who works in this office with me is a Mariners fan.
And I just see it in their faces.
They're just like, I mean, they'll mostly just say, I don't know about Cal Roll in the postseason right now.
And that's just not exciting as it was last year.
So it is an odd situation.
But I think that once October comes, I think that stuff, people are excited.
Seeing your team in October, it'll liven them up a little bit.
