Um and it's yeah, it's great to hear about a bit of a shout out for the the humanization process as well.
We an earlier podcast we had on this series was with um Charlotte Dean and their HUMACH um algorithm, which is uh is exactly to to try and humanize um lead candidates once once you've kind of realized, okay, this is the one we want to move forward, but we need to make it um something that the immune system's not gonna uh not gonna target or eject.
Um
uh a system that can help you humanize that um that antibody um for for later use.

Yeah, it's brilliant to see all these these models kind of working in tandem and how they can sort of feed into each other along the process.

Um but for anyone who goes on from listening to this episode to go and use it, how can they mo make the most of the tool?
Um what kind of tips would you have for them whilst they're using it?

Um and your paper was published in July last year, so not a huge amount of time ago.
Um but since then have you seen any particularly exciting uses of Alpha Bind yet?
Fantastic.
I think it's uh yeah, it's hard not to get um excited when you think about the sort of complexity of these um targeting issues and, you know, being able to sort of activate the molecule under certain conditions or when there's multiple binders and things like that.
Um and the kind of
the obvious impacts that AI is going to have in that that space and and the ability it's going to give us to to make more complex molecules but then also ones that aren't sort of too complex to to actually function or work.
Um and with that in mind, I mean I know this is a very difficult question to answer because it's so rapidly evolving.
But um what are your predictions for the impact of of AI and antibody engineering in the next five years or so?
I um I I think it's interesting you say you know, the this kind of stuff on LinkedIn about people pr pressing a button and designing an antibody that's gonna cure a a certain condition.
