Um and so how would you advise those looking to develop antibody therapeutics for subcutaneous uh injection to use the models from your paper and the findings that you've um you've learned here um to assist their development process?
I think that's been a a really interesting thing about the throughout the the course of doing this series of of podcasts and and really looking at that um that article collection is the the number of the prediction models and stuff that aren't just about I mean obviously the binding and the, you know, targeting of things and kind of mimic um
targeting epitopes and um and antigens is is obviously uh a really important part of it and it's you know the the core bit.
But we're really at a stage now where it's more about, okay, yeah, we can get this, you know, the binding, we can do the structure prediction.
But now it's about making it practical and realisable and kind of clinically impactful.
Um I know you mentioned um Charlotte Dean earlier, our our episode with her was talking about the the her HueMatch model, which is all kind of about
the the practicalities of avoiding um adverse immune responses to antibody therapeutics and and humanizing um the therapeutic antibodies.
So um yeah it's been really interesting to see the kind of the breadth of the application of of these models.
Yeah my my final question is if there was one thing you could ask for to improve the subbucane subcutaneous delivery of antibodies uh and uh antibody therapeutic.
Um so if I was a genie that could grant you a wish, um, what what would it be?
Fantastic.
Well, uh thank you very much for joining us on the podcast, Peter.
Um it's been fascinating to hear about just how far you can take these models to both predict and investigate the properties of antibodies uh and to help make their development more efficient and practical.
So yeah, thank you for joining us.

Today we're exploring a new AI model that could change the way we approach antibody design.
Hello and welcome to Talking Techniques, the show that brings you the latest from the life sciences, strength from the people exploring them.
I'm your host, Biotechnique's senior editor Tristan Free, and today as part of a special series of podcasts covering the ongoing article collection on artificial intelligence and machine learning in antibody development in the journal MABS, I'm joined by Ryan Emerson, Senior Vice President of Data Science at A Alpha Bio.
