We could create some kind of infrastructure for not some totalitarian control of compute, just a governance regime.
Would you call the IAEA totalitarian or would you call it a governance regime for a dangerous destructive nuclear capacity?
I'm not saying any of this is easy.
We have to navigate the narrow path.

We don't want to create runaway catastrophes.
What it takes is being committed to finding that path.

I think the people, rather than it sounding like I'm some kind of pause or stop person, the people building this technology have basically said that that's what they would most prefer.
They would most prefer a world where we basically stopped and had the time to integrate and develop this technology slowly.
That's what they would prefer.
