But that's not what they're doing now or saying now.
They're saying they're just doing tit-for-tats.
And so is the U.S., by and large, except for one statement from Trump.
But there's something else about the Jordanian attack that I think may have been missed by the mainstream media.
which is this appears to have been somewhat different.
We knew that the Iranians could reach Jordan because they can reach Israel.
We knew that they could go through all of Israel's air defense systems, and they certainly can do that with the Jordanians as well.
But this was apparently movement that had happened at that base, and almost immediately the Iranians found out, and they struck and took the U.S.
by significant surprises.
The reason why this is important is because in the past, it appears the Iranians were buying commercial satellite pictures from Chinese companies, got much better accuracy, but those images may have been five days, eight days, 10 days old.
This intelligence that the Iranians had about that base appears to have been more or less real time.
And that may either mean that they have informants on the ground.
It may mean that they're actually getting much better live intelligence, real-time intelligence from the Chinese or Russians or others.
But something has changed.
And I think this is probably something that is causing a lot of pause in the U.S.
military right now.
Certainly, but by Israel not being a participant in this war, the Iranians are currently not striking Israel.
So what you have is a scenario in which the United States, in its infinite wisdom, has dragged itself into another endless war in which there isn't any military solution, but there is also an increasingly narrow path towards diplomatic de-escalation because we keep on blowing up those exit ramps.
And this, so Smotrich is honest.
I mean, this is one of the benefits with having people like Ben-Gavir and Smotrich, et cetera, in the Israeli government.
