I mean, you can't put that into words.
You can't put a price on that.
And my mom loved Michael right up until the day she passed.
And Michael and I have that relationship to where he's, for the longest time, as I've gotten older, you're more willing to tell people what they mean to you and that you love them.
But when you're in your 20s,
Michael was the guy who would come over, see me in public.
He'd come over, give me a kiss and tell me he loves me.
And regardless of whatever was happening in his life, when we went out to practice, because people would say, how are you and Michael so close?
And I said, you know what?
When we go out to practice, we live totally different lives.
But he gets out there and he runs every route like he's preparing for the Super Bowl.
It's never affected the way he prepares during the week.
And that's all I cared about.
I mean, if a guy came and showed up to work and was ready to get better that day and help us win, man, it was go do whatever the hell you want.
And that was Michael.
