I think it's probably a lot to do with shot placement and selection of bullets.
There just wasn't a lot of bullets when the 6.5 first came out because it was just a precision long range kind of gun.
And it was not really ever sort of designed or set up with ammo for hunting.
I think they probably have better rounds now, but that's a fast moving round.
You know, a 25-06 ain't far off from it, but it'll take a deer out quick.
I mean,
I shoot deer, I don't shoot deer now, but I used to shoot deer with .25-06.
I used to shoot coyotes, or still shoot coyotes if I see them in the daylight.
But, man, it's a heck of a round.
And it's got a lot of the ballistics of the 6.5 Cremor.
It's a very flat shooting gun, but it's moving extremely fast.
