Chapter 1: What are the hosts' recent God and Gun activities?
Secure. Encrypted. Private. The ultimate inventory system for gun owners is finally here. Protect your investment and track your gear at PewLocker. P-E-W dot locker.
Well, welcome back to episode 366 of the Guy and Guns podcast. I'm your host, Troy.
And I'm your other host, Doug.
We use this podcast to talk about Guy Guns and the Christian gun owner's interest. On this week's show, we'll be talking about or we'll be remembering Chuck Norris. We lost Chuck yesterday, actually, yesterday evening. Passed away in Hawaii. But just want to remember him, and he was a big part of our show early on for you old-timers that were with us.
Chapter 2: What are some memorable Chuck Norris jokes shared in the episode?
Yeah, he was. So we were honored to get to tell all of his facts over the years. So this week's guiding gun activities, Doug, what have you been up to?
Oh, let's see. Uh, church on Sunday, uh, sportsman's daily devotional, uh, on the gun side, um, EDC carry every day. And, uh, I've been working some long hours this week and, uh, we kicked off a huge project that started Monday and I've been working, going in early, staying late.
And I got like 20, 25 people, um, that we've contracted in and I'm kind of chaos coordinator for, and we're trying to, trying to keep those guys going. Got my truck in the shop Monday. It went in.
Okay.
So hopefully get that fixed. I'm hoping I get it back by the end of next week. They said two weeks. So I doubt that's going to happen, but we'll see.

Chapter 3: What was Chuck Norris's early life like?
Who knows? And lo and behold, they gave me a Chevy Malibu to drive. And now I know why I'm a truck fan. Cause it's like, it's like getting in that thing, man. You gotta be a contortionist to get in. You gotta bend your head over, get through the door. And it's like, ah, I hate it. Um, I haven't been, I haven't been doing much ham radio stuff either.
One, I can't, I usually talk on the way to work in the morning to guys in the radio club and stuff like that. But yeah, since my truck is in the shop, my radio is in the truck. So I haven't been messing with that and I haven't been home in time. I've been getting home this week. I just been whooped. I ain't felt like doing nothing. So I ain't had the HF on at all this week.
Chapter 4: How did Chuck Norris become a martial arts champion?
Oh, wow. I know it's, it's kind of horrible. I enjoy getting on that thing every once in a while.
Yeah.
See who I can talk to. I've talked to some pretty cool places. I think you and I've talked, I can, I can pick up Europe like clockwork. No problem.
Yeah.
But you know, I can't, I've got one contact down in Australia that I was able to get to and, I can, I can talk down to Puerto Rico, but I don't know. It may be the way my, my wire antenna is, uh, the direction that it's facing. So that could be part of it, but I can pick up Europe like crazy.
You have to run your wire in the opposite direction now, then you'll switch back and forth. Yeah.

Chapter 5: What notable films and TV shows did Chuck Norris star in?
You just change polarity on your antennas there, pick up from a different direction.
I need to, uh, I got a tower. I just need to put it up. I just haven't done it. And I still got to buy some parts and stuff for it to get it done. But Wendy's not, she's not the biggest fan of having an antenna stuck up in the air over the top of the house with a big antenna.
You have to do it like I did.
Just do it.
Wait till she goes out of town. I just noticed we skipped over sponsors. Well, I think a band was sponsored, Farms Rio Network. They've been with, well, they were with us from the beginning. Yep. So it's going on, what, 13 years? Yeah, 13 years now.

Chapter 6: What is Chuck Norris's legacy and cultural impact?
It's hard to believe it's been that long, isn't it?
Yeah. It makes me feel old, but 13 years they've been with us, and tons of shows over there. Go over, check out all the other offerings at the Farms Rio Network. Give them a listen, see if there's something that clicks with you. And we appreciate them. And it is easier than ever now to post a podcast, the Farms Radio Network. They've done a lot of work getting that.
We're going to spend a couple of hours after the show getting it over and uploaded. It's a lot easier than it used to be. I also want to thank Patriot Patch Company. They have sponsored us for many, many, many years and are just great to work with Jake and his team over there at Patriot Patch. So if you don't have any Patch of the Month Club, you ought to check that out.
They've got all kinds of cool banners and shirts and cups and all kinds of instruments that you should go make a better yourself of. Patriotpatch.co.
Chapter 7: What recent news affects gun laws discussed in the episode?
We want to thank them as well. Will, was that all your activities for the week?
That was, other than I've been softballing the last two nights in a row. My granddaughter Zoe had a game last night, and tonight was Amelia's turn. So I've been at the ball field after work.
I have a granddaughter who has been starting varsity since she was in the seventh grade. Her freshman year was just amazing. She had a great season. And I tried to make it all the close games I could. I mean, she has so many games. You know how it goes with kids and ball games. It just seems like forever. So we got Steve in the house with us. Hey, Steve.
And I've got a grandson now that's playing basketball as well.
Chapter 8: What Bible verse is referenced and what is its significance?
And his team went undefeated this year. I think I went to the finals. I don't remember what the score of the last game. They went to the finals at the end of February for sixth grade team and did really well there. Now they're playing travel ball. They'll be playing basketball through July. I know my granddaughter will be playing. She's 13. She'll be playing through July. I'm proud of them.
They work hard at it. I'll tell you that Uh, my son, Tim and his wife, Andrea, they run all the time with those kids all over the country. I think they were in Franklin, Tennessee over the weekend.
Oh, really?
They'll be all over the, you know, they'll be traveling many, many, many, many miles. They travel quite a bit with it. And, uh, it's all encompassing. And of course they play other sports too. I think she, she's usually in track in the spring and, uh, cross country in the fall. And, uh, and of course, Braden, he played football last year.
I think he played, but he played baseball last year and football last year and basketball. So they're going all the time and they have lots of games says I should be attending as many as I can. I don't want to disappoint you, but, uh, uh, it's a lot of travel, but, uh, but proud of them, proud that they're doing good. And, uh, their parents are, uh, Working hard with them on that. So let's see.
My guide and gun activities. Let's see. I lost my notes there. Let's see. So they're still working on my daughter's bathroom. They share a bathroom together. Some guys I go to church with are working on it. They're busy. And so you guys are going to have to step it up because we're coming home and they'll need a place.
They need their bathroom back when we move back because right now they're using ours and they're still working on the shop, all the things we talked about last week. I won't go into that again. On the farm, I'm not doing anything on the farm right now. The guy sold my cattle to, or most of my cattle to, is taking care of mine while I'm down here. I appreciate that. Ham Radio.
I'm going to Stewart Ham Fest tomorrow. It's, of course, in Stewart, Florida. It's not maybe 45 minutes to an hour north of me. I'm over up there. Check that out. I got my reservations for Hamvention, Dayton, coming up. Was it May? Coming up in May. I got our same flea market spots for our club. And so we'll be in 7330 and 7331.
And we'll be selling raffle tickets for Henry Rifle to raise money for Keeper Club up and going and work on repeaters and all that stuff. So if you guys are ham radio operators and you go to Dayton, which of course is the biggest ham radio fest, I think, in the world, make sure you stop by and see us. We'll be up. You'll see a really big
