And just with all the build and them going after Joe Ryan at that time, it was like, oh, is this about to happen?
It didn't.
It didn't happen whatsoever.
And you go back to the previous deadlines, whether we're talking about guys like Luis Garcia, who were brought in that just didn't end up working out.
He has three deadlines of just not very impressive work or stuff that didn't really help the team in a significant way.
So I think coming into this trade deadline, we're looking for Craig Breslow to have his first successful one.
And I think this team and you're looking at the current landscape of the American League, it's up for grabs.
It is for everyone.
And I think there's only really seven teams in baseball that are going to be selling.
So prices are going to be high.
And the Red Sox have been.
very safe they've been very principled in a lot of their ways of evaluation they have not want to go out and make deals that maybe it looks like they're going to lose it or maybe some evaluators are going to say there's a lot of risk on the table like that i think it's time for them to go and make that move and it looks like short stop or really middle infield and catcher where it lies and that's where you have to go
I love Anthony Sigler.
I think he's been a lot of fun to watch and he's been exciting.
He's kind of going through a Mickey Gasper stretch.

The last couple of weeks haven't been great.
