So to go and hire a guy who there are legitimate question marks on like, has he adapted and can he coach in the new NHL?

There are question marks purely from a coaching perspective here.

And then to bring on a guy with the question marks and the baggage, it's like, why are you signing up for all of this?

I would like to hear some iteration of it.

Jason Greger put together a really good piece a couple of weeks back at OilersNation.com where he basically compiled like five of these Mike Babcock stories from ex-players.

And then at the end, and I'm going to have to paraphrase bigger because I don't have the story in front of me, but Babcock had a quote where it was something like, you know, people misremember things or the truth isn't always like how it comes out.

And it was like, so like it's on the opportunities he's had where it's on a tee for him to just honestly, like even if you don't mean it,

How do you not understand that if you come out and go, I know that I've made some mistakes in the past and I've hurt people and I'm willing to change and adapt.

I want to hear that from Mike Babcock when he speaks to the media in 25 minutes.

And you know our guy Gregor is going to hold his feet to the fire.

I don't think Babcock is going to get a bunch of softballs from the Edmonton media here.

He's going to get asked about some things and he's going to have an opportunity to show that he's maybe grown a little bit.

No, we haven't.

I just don't think we're going to get it.

And listen, I'm someone who's been around the youth sports scene in Canada the last nine seasons.

I did play-by-play, and Babcock went back to the University of Saskatchewan, and I heard stories about the way he treated some support staff at the University of Saskatchewan that weren't good.

So it's like, okay, the Columbus thing, oh, maybe he grew from that.

Well, no, he went to the University of Saskatchewan, and I heard similar stories.

So I don't know.
