But I've always taken out driving to mean basically finish ahead of where the average, not even the average driver, but where you would, as per expectations, have the car in the band of results, right?

So if everybody performed to their car results, you would have...

a split of like first, second, the best car, third, fourth, the second best car, fifth, sixth, the third best car.

But in that sense, I guess Gasly maybe finished ahead of the band where it should have been, or at least finished much closer to the higher band than most others in the field.

Would that be accurate?

Well, I think slightly brought on by that and by the way the rankings are positioned, there are a few people who are just asking about the weighing of...

the pace and what you think, like how quick they actually were versus how error-free they actually were in terms of the driver.

It feels like lapses in judgment are especially costly here, particularly for Lando and Kimi.

You can only be so certain about what you think the car is capable of because you just have the two reference points.

And for all we know, the two guys really, really struggled in the weekend.

And you can't always know it for sure.

I mean, you have the telemetry, you know, when they're missing the corners or whatever, but there's only so much you can be definitely confident of.

In terms of what can be pushed out of the car.

Whereas when you see mistakes, well, you know what you've seen.

That is easy to account for.
