And then you switched up on him.
Whatever.
The only thing I thought was beyond him was to take a stab at Blackness directly to where he communicated that there was something defective about us.
But I had to realize something.
None of it matters.
None of it's real.
There's nothing behind it.
He is born of and comes from a deep, deep history of Black intellectualism.
And he was surrounded by people who were some of the best people around.
I've actually met people in Kanye's orbit that were around him in the early days.
And these are some fantastic, amazing, really, really, really pure people.
And I don't want to even say their names because I don't want to put him at odds with them.
But with him, you can't count on anything.
You can't count on anything about him.
You can't count on his Christianity.
You can't count on his politic.
You can't.
There's nothing about it that's real.
So if he gives you a little blues, you might as well have some fun with it because it doesn't matter.
It's not like you're in an argument with someone who is really seeking something.
