She says she's been collecting all manner of nutcrackers since 1976.
And in 1995, with a collection of 7,000, she and her husband thought it was time to share it with the public.
Wagner traces it back to the nutcracker she got when she ran a ballet company that was performing, well, you know.
She says what started out as a one-off acquisition snowballed into a legacy.
