I guess around the time that it came out, I I remember chatting to Barbara Kingsolver and she really wanted to cast a light on this what she felt was a very forgotten part of the country and and the reasons why um these people who are so often termed rednecks are uh disenfranchised, disengaged, a and often mocked as well.
There is this dark humor, or just or just pure humor throughout it that makes it such a an incredible epic.
