I mean, I tried absolutely everything.
I had seasickness tablets, patches.
I had a sort of an electrical impulse bracelet that I wore.
Yeah, I mean, it's funny because obviously there was a huge physical aspect to it.
I now more reflect on the sort of psychological one, really.
But yeah, I mean, it was it was in every way you can imagine it was.
On SAS, I always had the option to VW, to voluntarily withdraw, which in the end I did through interrogation.
When you're on an ocean, you can't evacuate.
I mean, you can, but that in itself is actually highly dangerous.
And, you know, so those decisions are taken away from you.
which I guess in a way is kind of a gift because it forces you then to sit with the discomfort and to work it out in your own head.
And I think I learnt a huge amount about my own psychology through that process and developed all sorts of coping mechanisms that kind of got me through the hardest moments.
And not just when the team dynamic wasn't great, but, you know, just through sheer homesickness and...
physical sickness and just the mental relentlessness of 1.3 million strokes on the oars.
You know, it's a long, long, long, long time.
