There was a nice Brunello.
I remember that.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
So it was three guys.
It was myself, Peter Montopoli, and a guy named Walter C. Barrett, a legend in Canadian sports, Canadian Olympic Committee.
He was at FIFA.
And we had just won the bid for the Women's World Cup.
And he said it because of his experience.
It's time now that we have the right real team with me and Peter to push the envelope to bid for the Men's World Cup.
And that's where it started.
And we went on the journey and after we started doing what we needed to do, there's always that soft approach before you get into an official bid.
It was really us as Canadians that brought together US and Mexico as a joint bid.
And obviously, history shows that we won the bid in 2018.
And then soon after that, you have to get into the operational mode.
get buy-in from everybody.
And I mean, Vancouver itself, how Vancouver got in, that's a book in itself.
And I think it's important to acknowledge the late John Horgan, who without him shaking my hand in November of 2019 to bring Vancouver back, we wouldn't have maybe had those scenes.
So I think it's important for me to acknowledge that to John.
