My name is Rick Canazales.
I am uh Director of Transportation here in Prince William County and thank you for coming out here this uh afternoon.
Uh little hot here today and the sun but the sun's shining bright, so it's a nice day here in Prince William County.
County Fatherhood Initiative.
The mission of the Prince Wilma County Fatherhood Initiative is to uh empower and educate fathers to serve the best interests of their children.
And
military fathers who have been deployed.
Uh, we talk about teenage fathers, you talk about incarcerated fathers.
Being a public servant, I mean you should want to
be a compassionate neighbor to the people around you.
Because there are a lot of people, you know, in our community that they just need someone who has empathy for them to provide that support that they need.
So this moment here, this moment in time does not define who you are.
And then also you have an opportunity to change your situation.
All you gotta do is decide what you want to do and how you wanna do it, and then take those steps to, you know, make
fun activities for the kids during the summer.
Some of the other jobs that I had, I was a upper bound director with up in Massachusetts, with a program called the Bruce Well Scholars Upper Bound Program.
