There are reasons why there are power structures at play.
There's things going on that you don't necessarily know at the beginning of the book.
So I'm not going to spoil it.
But it's for me, I love the yearning trope.
I love the idea that there is a man who has adored someone for so long that they are all that he could think about and that, you know, he he is also not wanting to like ruin things or or mess up what's going on.
or jeopardize his own life in order to act on those feelings, but still to have those feelings, the staring across the room moment of it all.
There are some flashbacks in the second book that I'm like, yes, writing those kinds of scenes.
So that was my thing.
I was like, I just love, I love the yearning trope.
And I think that's what people are looking for.
They want to feel really, really wanted.
And that's one of the things that I think romance is really good for is helping people to see
Because, like, a lot of people are like, those men are fictional.
They're not real.
And I'm like, they are real if you're picky enough.
Right.
Right?
Like, I found, like, my husband is the most romantic, sweet, kind, like, loving person in the world.
