It just didn't.

Those thoughts take you captive.

Say the truth out loud until your heart and your head agree.

And don't you dare walk out of it alone.

And when those memories come, they will, they still do meet all the time.

All the time I'm reminded of something I did or something was done to me.

Just a flashback.

And if you have any type of mental health issue, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

But we can sit here and say, that's not me anymore.

I'm putting that behind me because God is in front of me and I'm taking his hand and I'm going to walk with him.

And I say, thank you, God.

Thank you, God, for healing me from the inside out.

Lord, I thank you that even though I face trials in this world today, I know that you are holding my hand and you are walking with me through it, that you will never let me go.

Lord, that you have completely wiped my slate clean, that my chains are broken, that I am a chain breaker in my family and that my children will be raised in a way that will glorify you.

I give you all the glory.

And even in the hard times, Lord, even when I'm in the pit, I know that you are still leading me in a direction that will serve a purpose and magnify the kingdom of God.

And God, I just pray that you are filling me.

You're filling me with your Holy Spirit.

that you're giving me strength, that you're easing my pain, my anxiety, my depression, whatever it is that I am feeling in this moment, Lord, whatever it is that someone else is feeling in this moment, Lord, that you are completely wiping it clean, that you're wiping their slate clean, that you are filling them with the Holy Spirit, that you are giving them a new breath in life, and you are reminding them that no matter how far that they have turned away, that you are always going to be there, that all that they need to do is cry out to you, ask for that forgiveness, ask for your strength, ask for you

to lead them in the direction that you are calling them to be led to.
