And mind you, this is whenever he was, you know, trying to hide away his sin with Bathsheba.

So this was a big deal.

But then...

healing can begin because he says, then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my inequities.

I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.

And then he says, you forgave the guilt of my sin.

So he had unconfessed sin that he was trying to hide away from God, which come on, you can't do that.

We all know we can't do that, but we also are so ashamed to actually bring it to him.

And

David was feeling that and he had that conviction, but he repented and that's when healing could finally begin.

And then God forgives him and forgiveness.

It's the invitation to a transformation.

So we can have that transformation once we ask for forgiveness, but you cannot fake asking for forgiveness and you cannot fake transformation.

You have to go through the steps and there are steps that we have to take to get there.

All right, so write that down.

Healing begins where your hiding ends.

The enemy needs you hidden.

God meets you the second you stop hiding from him.

See, the enemy is going to use your shame and your guilt to keep you hidden, and God needs you to come out of that.

So guilt and shame and repentance have to be separated.
