Tonight, I ask for your covering over this council, our mayor, the old and especially the new.
Guide their words, purify their motives, and fill their hearts with compassion.
May they remember that leadership is a calling.
One that demands courage, humility, and integrity.
And may the season of service on this council.
And as my season of service on this council comes to a close, I thank you, God, for trusting me with this assignment, for allowing me to serve your people, to speak unapologetically in my truth, using the voice that you gave me, standing on purpose.
May I continue to s to serve and be of good service in this community.
Not just in the building and business, but justice, love and humanity for all.
Because you know when we fight for the people, that's when we honor you and that's when we win.
