People are starting to get used to-
double-digit capital growth.
Guys, that's not normal.
And so if you look at a normal period where a balanced or growth portfolio is returning you a total of eight, maybe nine on a good year, and you're getting half of that as capital growth,
There's bugger all difference to the change.
But if you have another year where the NASDAQ goes up by 20%, well, then yes, you're going to pay more tax under the new oil.
You've got to come back to purpose.
What's this money for and what are you going to do with it?
Then you've got to plan.
How long am I going to do this for?
Am I going to negative gear?
Am I going to debt recycle?
Am I going to pay cash?
Then you've got your portfolio, which is all around asset allocation.
And then eventually you get to smaller items like package and platform, which is, do I buy this in an investment bond?
Do I buy an ETF?
Do I buy an LSC?
Do I put it in super?
And then finally, what platform do I build it on?
All of those are- So the budget last fortnight-
