Yeah, you finally got a uh a low score in one of these Cubs Brewers games after uh some have some big run totals in the first three.
But uh I think Craig Council kinda brought it up.
It's like these are the kind of games that, you know, you play at the end of the season, right?
The m the most meaningful ones, uh whether it's down the stretch or i in the playoffs, uh, you know, a two one pitcher's duel is uh you know, with one big hit and and and one mistake, you know, that's kind of uh the the story of a of a playoff.
Type game, isn't it?
I think you know, with with how big the the Brewers lead is in the central and obviously the it's not it's not over yet mathematically, but you know, i I think the most important thing is hey look, Kevin Gosman is doing that, he could do that again come October.
You know what I mean?
I'm not sure it's like oh it's so important because they they gained the game on the Brewers, but it's so important because that's why they got 'em to do that, to replicate that exact performance down the road in a month.
Maybe
against the same Brewers team, who knows?
But um it I I think it was, you know, affirmation that what Jed Hoyer did with the that really aggressive trade deadline, he traded a lot of prospects, some of them pretty highly rated, um, to get a guy in Kevin Gosman and a guy in Clay Holmes to do stuff like that against the best teams in baseball.
Um, you know, Gosman's now done it two out of his last three with the seven uh shutout or the you know the seven innings
and and very low run totals against the Brewers, against the Diamondbacks who are obviously still in this wild card race, so um that he's doing it against that type of competition.
Uh that's why the Cubs got him.
And uh to see that he's capable of doing that after what he did in the World Series last year for the for the Blue Jays, um that's gotta be a really good thing for Cubs Brats.
Yeah, absolutely.
And and I mean I'll go back to what I just said.
Like that's a playoff.
That's a playoff type pitcher, a playoff type team, and a playoff type game, a playoff type win, right?
I mean, you i it you're gonna get to October and you're going to see the Cubs who have the best offense in baseball statistically go up against a uh a top of the line pitcher and be held to two runs, to be held to just one scoring moment, right?
