Swanson at short, Bregman at third, those guys can kind of pick it with the best of them.
Michael Bushman pretty good over at first base too, so just put the ball on the ground.
And and and Clay Holmes was talking yesterday about how this defense allows him to be just have the utmost confidence in just d generating a ground ball, right?
He's like, Oh, it's sometimes, you know, if you're a ground ball guy like I am
You get a guy on, you get one or two guys uh, you know, in scoring position and you're like, Well, I don't wanna give up a ground ball 'cause what could happen?
It could sneak through, it could be a hit, it could be a run, it could be the game.
Well, when you got these guys playing defense behind him,
the the chances of just it being an out go way, way up.
And and I think that Clay Holmes is that kind of guy.
You've got another one in David Peterson who they got and also in the trade with the Mets, who is that kind of guy.
Um they've got some options in terms of pitching, in terms of top of the rotation pitching.
They've been thrilled with what Shoda Imanaga has done, even though he's given up almost as many home runs as anybody in baseball.
Um and then you've got Matt Boyd who has kind of quietly returned to that all star form that he was last year.
So I think they're gonna have several top of the rotation options.
But yeah, Clay Holmes looked really good yesterday.
And remember, this is a guy who just two years ago pitched in every game of the World Series as the Yankees, you know, all star closer.
Now he's a starter and he's been doing it for two years now, uh mostly with the Mets, now a little bit with the Cubs, and he's been doing it really well.
Yeah, I mean y it it it doesn't look good because of what came before it too with that with that kind of clunker start against the Nationals who, you know, by the way are the best the best offensive team in baseball.
But still you don't want your your big trade deadline acquisition giving up six runs to anybody.
