Yeah, I think that's the big question ahead for Craig Council and his staff this weekend.

Now, they've finally got a couple more options.

They get David Peterson, as you mentioned.

They picked up Bryce Wilson on a waiver claim yesterday.

We'll see if he factors into this in any way.

Vince Velasquez was up from the minors yesterday.

And then you've got Colin Ray, obviously.

Now, I don't know if there's any Cub fans at home listening to me list to those guys.

and say, oh boy, we're jazzed about our chances this week against the Brewers' three best pitchers, maybe.

But they've got to have some bodies out there at the very least, and give some sort of chance to this offense to try to strike against what's been a really good pitching staff for Milwaukee.

So it is a big series, given where the Cubs are in the standings.

I think the Cubs will tell you, hey, it's only June, there's so much more baseball left to play, but

If you're talking about the turn of the rotation and the injury luck that they've had, which has been awful, this is probably not the way that they wanted the cards to be dealt for this weekend as they go up to face Milwaukee and make sure that they're getting back on track the way it looks like they have over the last week and a half or so.

We're going to ask Greg Council a lot about what's going to go into the pitching decisions this weekend, and I wouldn't be surprised if the details aren't necessarily completely set in stone by the time they leave New York here tonight.

Well, absolutely.

And I mean, listen, it's quite the comment on the depth where it is currently and how much of it they've already used that I'm talking about, you know, waiver claims and trades that have been made in the last 24 hours in terms of a pitching plan for the weekend.

So they're kind of really piecing this together as they go along right here in the current moment.

And they're hoping that some better options kind of come along.

Obviously, you've got, you know, trade season coming up, but they're not really there yet yet.

And so Jed Hoyer is kind of making some smaller moves here to just kind of keep things afloat until we get to the time of the year when maybe bigger names are available on the trade block.
