What it inaugurates for me

in the other Spielberg movies that I've seen and enjoyed that we'll talk about, is this primacy of knowledge.

What do people, the mass of people, deserve to know?

And what does that knowledge prompt us to do?

This happens a lot in Spielberg.

It's like a sort of cognitive or sort of informational or political or commercial elite and trying to figure out what they owe to the masses of people in terms of

sharing a kind of knowledge.

Alex, you had a Spielberg film that you hadn't seen, Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

Everybody's going to talk about aliens.

That's right.

And just in keeping with our theme here, Close Encounters, it's no Jaws, but it does really well at the box office.

He made it for less than $20 million.

It makes more than $300 million.
