But as I just said, I guess about the experiment I haven't had a chance to describe yet.
Benchmarks turn out do not predict hybrid intelligence very well.
When our cyborgs were using small lemma models, small open source models, they did almost as well as when they were using state of the art foundation models.
The benchmarks didn't turn out to predict much, and I virtually guarantee you they do not predict much about how AI actually affects the humans that use them.
Those benchmarks need to exist.
That's a project my non profit, the human trust, is actively working on now.
There's a handful of some other groups that are just starting to do the same, but there absolutely is no standard benchmark on hybrid intelligence or on how AI actually affects human beings directly.
But we also need data trust.
Now, having said all that.
None of it has to do with AI for good or being ethical with AI.
And a lot of our vision of that as enacted in a lot of research and and nonprofits working in this space comes down to having boards and checklists and guidelines and I hate to break it to you.
None of that.
All all that is secondary at best.
There is no wise old man with a long white beard that's gonna give you the right answers.
I don't care how much time he's thought about the trolley problem.
Someone's gonna have to kill somebody with a trolley one way or another, and it turns out they're not gonna help you.
