And I think it is kind of a clash of tones.
And it's something that for whatever reason, Vince McMahon, and we're the victim of this, it's never really clicked with him, that there's a certain tone that sells tickets and then a certain tone that maybe makes you seem more acceptable to advertisers in boardrooms.
And you can't mix them over the course of three hours on a show right before a pay-per-view and expect people to be worked up about that pay-per-view.

Then schedule it so it doesn't conflict.

I'm saying, to me, I'd rather the Slammys be a one-hour show before Raw starts.
If you're going to do the Slammys and you're going to make it slapstick, if you're going to do that, then put it on for an hour before Raw starts.
Even have it pre-taped or have it live, but have it at a theater or something like that.
And then do a normal Raw.
I think it's doubly damaging, besides the fact that I'm with you.

I get they're trying to wink at the audience a little bit.
And the superstar of the year voting, I mean, it's like big shock, it's John Cena, you know.
But if you're going to give the award to, like, Shawn Michaels in Undertaker for moment of the year, and it deserves it, but then you turn the other, the Mae Young late cool debacle thing into a total joke,
it diminishes the value of the ones that are a little bit more serious.
