What's actually happening here, Sam?

Is this a real idea or is this a headline?

Would the task get simpler or more complicated if they started poaching some moderates within the Liberal Party?

But would there be a home for someone like Allegra Spender in the coalition as it currently stands?

I mean, one of the reasons she's not there is you kind of identify as she's an old-school Liberal in a party that doesn't really function that way.

Speaking of winning seats, there was that poll that, what was it, maybe a week ago now, that showed that if an election were held today, One Nation would win somewhere between 40 and I think it was 59 seats, depending on which version of reality would unfold.

Obviously, it's a poll.

It's reflective.

There's a lot to happen before the next election.

We saw another poll come out this week, I think it was by Essential, that showed that One Nation was within one point of Labor.

And it had gained, I think, three points in the aftermath of the budget while Labor had fallen back.

Who's winning the budget at the moment, Sam?

And more pointedly, is it One Nation?
